Paperloom
Support
Paperloom is made by one person, and that person reads every message. Email is the fastest way to reach me.
What helps me help you
- Your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac).
- Your Paperloom version and build (Paperloom → About Paperloom).
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot or a short screen recording if the problem is visual.
Billing and subscriptions
Paperloom Pro is sold by Apple, so your subscription is managed from your Apple Account rather than inside Paperloom. To change or cancel it, open the App Store app, click your name, then Account Settings → Manage Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you have paid for.
If you have paid and Paperloom still shows the subscription screen, choose Restore Purchases on that screen or in Settings → Billing. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your notes are Markdown
Every note is plain Markdown, stored on your Mac. Nothing about it is proprietary: paste a note anywhere and it reads the same, and the bundled command-line tool (paperloom note get) prints any note as Markdown if you ever want to move your library somewhere else. Version history keeps checkpoints of each note with line-by-line diffs, so an accidental edit is a click away from undone.
Common questions
- Sync is not moving between Macs — both Macs must be signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on, and sync must be enabled in Settings → iCloud on each.
- Autocomplete is not suggesting anything — larger models download the first time you pick them and need Apple silicon; Settings → Autocomplete shows download progress.
- ⌘G does not open Scratch from other apps — another app may own the shortcut; every Paperloom shortcut is remappable in Settings → Shortcuts.
- Today shows no meetings — grant Calendar access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
