Privacy, Sync and Import
Paperloom keeps notes local by default, syncs only through your iCloud, and imports from the apps you are leaving.
No account required
Paperloom is a Mac app with local Markdown storage. There is no Paperloom account, and the App Store privacy label says the app collects no data.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync, notes, organization, tasks and Today focus move between your Macs through your own private iCloud database — encrypted, and never on Paperloom servers.
Import
Bring in Markdown folders, Obsidian vaults, Apple Notes exports, Notion, Evernote, Bear, Google Keep, Joplin, Standard Notes, Simplenote and Roam Research. Folders map into Spaces and Collections; tags, dates, pins and images are preserved.
