Spaces, Collections, and Stacks
How Paperloom keeps your library flexible as work grows and moves.
The hierarchy
Paperloom uses Space -> Collection -> Stack -> Note. The goal is not to fill every layer. The goal is to add only the amount of structure the work has earned.
- Spaces hold major areas.
- Collections hold active projects or topics.
- Stacks are optional branches inside Collections.
- Notes are the actual writing, plans, references, and decisions.
Promotion and movement
A Stack can become a Collection, and a Collection can become a Space. Stacks can move between Collections, and Collections can move between Spaces when your map changes.
