Six short steps

On first launch Paperloom walks you through the ideas it is built on — the library, writing, issues, Spotlight — then a handful of tips appear beside features the first time they are on screen. There is no manual to read first.

Start with one Space

A Space is a broad area of responsibility: Work, Personal, Writing, Research. Create one before you build anything else.

• Add Collections only for real projects or subjects inside a Space.
• Use Stacks when a Collection starts to branch.
• Keep a note loose until it has earned a place.

Capture first, organize later

Scratch exists so ideas can land quickly without deciding where they belong. When a thought has shape, promote it into the library.
