Paperloom ships a command-line tool and a built-in MCP server. Agents search like grep, read bounded ranges, edit with exact replacements that fail closed, and see diffs and revisions to verify or undo.

• Search before reading whole notes.
• Read only the relevant range.
• Apply exact, reviewable edits — never blind overwrites.
• Every change is signed and kept in version history.

Turning it on

Agent access is off until you enable it in Settings → Agents. Humans and agents can edit at the same time; guarded updates refuse to overwrite text that changed underneath them.
